Are you considering building a new home?

There are many things to consider in purchasing a new home:
  • What builder to choose?
  • What location to seleect?
  • What Home owner fees do you want to pay?
  • Do you want to pay a fee to the HOA on the sale of your home?
  • What optional features are important?
  • How do builder prices compare after adding optional features?
  • What optional features are worth the money for your situation?
  • Are you out of state and would feel more comfortable with someone locally following the progress of your home being built?

Many people are surprised to find out that they can be represented by a Realtor in the purchase of a new home at no cost. Builders charge the same amount for a home whether a buyer's representitive is used or not. Although the builder's agents are required to deal with customers fairly as required by the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Realtors, Why would a home buyer not want to have their interests protected to the greatest extent possible?

How to make sure you are represented

The builders require prospective buyers to be accompanied by their Realtors during their first trip to a development. If you are considering a visit to see what any builders have to offer, I would welcome the opportunity to represent your interests in the search for your new home.

How to shorten your search

I have compiled a spreadsheet of the offerings from different builders. By asking a few key questions, we can narrow your search to just the homes which are most likely to meet your needs.
